Little Tots and Polka Dots Family Child Care and Preschool is located in the North Shore of Massachusetts in the Newburyport/Amesbury area. I have been a licensed Family Child Care Educator since 2007 and have 3 boys of my own. The school is on almost an acre of land filled with play structures, play houses, blueberry bushes, peach trees, pear trees, and more. I encourage children to explore the world around them as they learn through exploration and play.
I accept infants through age 6, with the exception of after school children. I provide meals and snacks and try to provide as much organic food as possible. I also belong to the Nutrition Education & Child Care Food Program Inc. This is a company that helps train providers in the importance of good food and portion size for children. They also make house visits every so often to ensure that good nutrition is being provided.
We use no pesticides in my yard, my home is a non smoking home, and i am an Eco-Friendly Endorsed Child Care Program through the Oregon Environmental Council. The school is located in my walk-in basement where there is plenty of room to play and also has it's own bathroom for the children. There are toys acceptable for every developmental age group.
I currently have over 200 hours in training as well as my CDA. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have worked in Child Care Centers as well since I was 15 years old and have a resume and plenty of references upon request.
